Veterinary Students

Moe Veterinary Centre is involved in the training of veterinary students in their final years of study. We are engaged in formal programs run by the University of Melbourne, the University of Sydney and Murdoch University in Western Australia as an “Academic Associate” clinic.

Our practice is most suited to students interested in a career in mixed practice. We have a good caseload across the range of species, with excellent diagnostic work-up and a high standard of care. We endeavour to involve students to do as much as possible to help equip them for graduation. Our focus is on diagnostic, medical and surgical procedures likely to be encountered in the first six months of practice.

On occasions and when appropriate, clients may be invited to assist with training by allowing a student to examine their pet. This will always occur with veterinary supervision.
